I took the photos of the berries by the bridge going over the Huron river into Barton hills. I chose to take it close up and focused on only a couple clusters of berries. I originally took a photo of the whole bush but it looked bad because 90% of it is thin brown sticks. It looks a lot better just focused on the berries. The berries are conveying the feeling of hope. This is because all the bushes near it were dead or had no leafs. This was the only thing that looked alive. One living thing in the middle of dead signifies hope to me. The only problem that I had with the berries was that the pictures were horrible until I focused on just the berries and not the whole bush.
The next photo is the creek. I took these photos at a creek near my neighborhood. I took a total of like 30 photos but these two were my favorite. I was taking photos while I walked up the side of the creek. The first one was more of a broad picture to show this whole creek. I liked this one because of the rocks with moss and the air pockets under the ice. The next one was when I was jumping from rock to rock on the creek I noticed that if you looked up close, the ice was not actually flat but had cool shapes in it. I put my camera down on the ice so it could look out onto the ice and took the picture. I really liked how this one turned out. These pictures represent change. This is because it was a normal creek the other day and just over night it became frozen. It shows that things change and you can't control that.
Next is the Huron river. I took this picture at the same place as the berries but on the other side of the bridge. Both of these pictures showed the whole river and the trees next to it. I felt like these should be wide photos because I wanted to capture the whole river at once. As a nice surprise there were lots of ducks and swans on the river that day. I took more photos of stuff like them taking of in formation but you said the photos should not just be in animals so I didn't use them. These photos represent peace as it says in the title. This is because it is not very cloudy and the water was still. The ducks made it feel like that too. All these components together made it look like every thing was in harmony.
Next is the shadow of a tree in a field. I took these photos on the other side of the bridge of some farmland. I noticed the shadow and thought it would be an interesting contrast from the sunny field so that is why it is in both photos. The reason I did not get close to anything and took a wide picture is because it was private property so I couldn't walk on it. It is supposed to show loneliness because the field is so different from the shadow so even thought the shadow is surrounded by the field, it can't mingle with it
The last photograph is of some weird ice on the huron river. The second picture was on the 1st day and the first picture was the day after that. You can see that it melted a lot. I took these photos up close so I could capture all the details in this weird ice. It represents wonder and bizarre things. I think that because it was nothing like it's surroundings and had a weird shape.
